The morning of the partial eclipse of 10th June 2021 was bright but with extensive cloud cover over Caithness in the north of Scotland – but I was lucky to get a single glimpse and single decent shot as a small break passed in front of the sun and moon. The two images below were cropped from the one shot taken with a strong neutral density filter.
The night before (it would be a nice story but the deer wasn’t reacting to the eclipse) a roe deer mother and baby kid passed through the field next door. At this age the young deer seem to love sprinting up and down the field, darting first in one direction then another having crazy time. It looks like fun!
