Disclaimer

Outdoor, wilderness and mountain information, routes and maps on this website and else where are provided as an indication only in good faith. No guarantee of the accuracy of the information is provided.

The author accepts no liability whatsoever for damage to property, nor for personal injury or death arising directly or indirectly from the use of information on this website or in ArcGIS.com maps.

Routes are digitised based on Ordnance Survey mapping, photos, experience and in some cases simplified GPS traces. The mountain locations are based on information in The Database of British and Irish Hills (DoBIH) version 17 at http://www.hills-database.co.uk under CC BY 4.0. By the very nature of the mountains many of these summit positions and routes are close to cliff edges and big drops.

The information on this website and published in ArcGIS.com maps should not be relied on for navigation and use is entirely at the users own risk. Route descriptions and maps do not indicate that any specific person will be capable of completing them. It is essential that anyone using any information given on this website judges routes and conditions for themselves, against their own and their groups ability. If in doubt retreat, the mountain will still be there.

Note that hillwalking at any time of year carries a certain level of risk and requires knowledge and skills to be developed, in particular in navigation and proficient use of maps. In winter, mountain activities are likely to require an ice-axe, crampons, waterproof and warm clothing and the knowledge, experience and skills to use them correctly. Summer routes may change drastically in winter and may not be suitable.
