Beinn Eighe is one of Torridon’s iconic mountains. Its most well known feature is Coire Mhic Fhearchair, home to the famous Triple Buttresses at the west end of the mountain. Here also lies the remains of the Lancaster plane that crashed in 1951. At the east end of the mountain the peaks of Sgurr nan Fhir Duibhe, Sgurr Ban and Spidean Coire nan Clach lie. The northern corries of these peaks do not have the massively impressive crags of Coire Mhic Fhearchair, but their rock scenary, lunar like landscape and quiet solitude are spectacular and beautiful.
