Afternoon Light – Quinag, Assynt & Ullapool

A late December 2018 afternoon between Christmas and New Year and not a snow patch in sight in Assynt, during a mild period of weather. The sun is descending in the south south west with some of the central tops of Quinag in the foreground, Canisp and Suilven are the hills beyond Loch Assynt. The ridge to Quinag’s northerly top, Sail Ghorm (776 m) is well worth a visit, as is the conspicuous flat topped mossy top en route.
