An early evening shower over Loch Fannich and Fannich Lodge. Fionn Bheinn is to the left and the Fisherfield Munro, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair is in the distance on the right. The southern flanks of the Fannich range of hills are a long walk from anywhere, but accessed easily enough by bike from the A832 Garve to Achnasheen road west of Lochluichart. A surfaced private road, and then track, head north west to the Loch Fannich dam, and then west along the north side of the loch for most of its length. From Fannich Lodge a path heads north on to the spur of Creag a’ Choire Riabhaich and then on to Meall Gorm, a top on the main Fannich ridge. This photo was taken looking west up Loch Fannich from the south west shoulder of An Coileachan, over Fannich Lodge to the Munro Fionn Bheinn on the left and Fisherfield Munro Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair, in the distance to the right. Later, a dusky evening free wheel down the track was a joy.
