Beinn Eighe Reflections - Sgurr Ban and Spidean Coire nan Clach, Torridon & Fisherfield

Sgurr Ban and Spidean Coire nan Clach of Beinn Eighe reflected in pools on the bealach between Ruadh-stac Beag and the north ridge of Spidean Coire nan Clach. Spidean Coire nan Clach, on the right, is Beinn Eighe’s second Munro. There is an excellent Grade 2 scramble on quartzite slabs on the north ridge of the peak. The route takes the slabs that slant up right from the centre of the photo to the right hand peak, before heading away along the narrow but easy north ridge to the hidden summit of Spidean Coire nan Clach. The peak is more often reached by following the good path from the A896 Glen Torridon road into Coire an Laoigh and on up the coire headwall to join the ridge a short distance south of the summit. It is a fine and relatively airy summit.
