Stunning evening light over Upper Loch Torridon
Upper Loch Torridon, a sea loch, is almost enclosed by peninsulas that jut into the loch north of Shieldaig and south of Diabaig. It is a picturesque location and worthy of exploration along with the relaxed settlements of Torridon, Shieldaig and Diabaig. This photo looks over Loch Torridon towards the rocky and rugged low hills between Alligin Shuas and Diabaig where Lewisian gneiss outcrops and there are a variety of climbs and scrambles to be had. The road over these hills to Diabaig is quite spectacular.
