Evening slanting sun light streaming across the Black Cuillin ridge south of Bruach na Frithe with the whole of the central and southern main Black Cuillin ridge laid out. Before taking this photo I’d been exploring south down the ridge watching the light and taking photos. On reascending to the summit an impressively large golden eagle was standing surveying it’s domain and I was surprisingly close before we recognised one another. Seconds later the bird was soaring way out of range of my wide angled lens, leaving me delighted with our brief encounter.
