Ben Hope, the most northerly Munro, resplendant above Loch Hope on a blustery autumn afternoon. This was taken just off the North Coast 500 route, a short distance south of the hamlet of Hope on the tiny single track road towards Ben Hope. This road ultimately leads all the way past Ben Hope and the broch of Dun Dornaigil to join the A836 at Altnaharra and is worthy of exploration in it’s own right. After taking this I made a quick dash up Ben Hope in search of more afternoon light and was fortunate to watch the sun descend towards the hills to the south west, Meallan Liath Coire Mhic Dhughaill, Meall Garbh and Meall Horn.
