Distinct mountains that do not belong to a logical or easily definable “mountain range” in the far north of the Scottish mainland. Notably these include Ben Hope and Ben Loyal two of the iconic mountains of Sutherland.
The main point of access to Ben Hope is from the Hope to Altnaharra road.
