A sunlit Cul Beag flanked by Stac Pollaidh (left) and Cul Mor (right) reflected in the water of Loch Cul Dromannan on a winter morning. Loch Cul Dromannan is right next to the A837 Ullapool to Lochinver road on the North Coast 500 route and is a popular location for photographers given the stunning backdrop of the Assynt and Coigach peaks. I’d been taking photographs from not long after first light and watched the sun first catch the summits and then bathe the easterly slopes with its warm glow. The sun took a while longer to reach the shores of the wee loch.
