Canisp from the north end of Loch Awe (a small loch in Assynt rather than the large one in Argyll and Bute) where a path crosses a small bridge and leads on to the eastern flank of the hill. This was taken on the same calm December afternoon as Canisp Relections, Loch Awe. After taking this I headed east on to Canisp hoping for some fine afternoon views of Suilven. On the summit I was greeted by a heavy snow shower which cleared after a while to reveal Suilven as seen below. The setting sun wasn’t visible behind the clouds and I completed the descent and return to the road in heavy snow and darkness by head torch.
