The stoney beach at Onich is a pleasant spot with the Ballachulish Bridge and hills of Glencoe to the east and Loch Linnhe, the Ardgour and Morvern hills to the west. This December morning was cold and bright and a column of mist was moving briskly down Loch Linnhe from Fort William, blown by a northerly breeze. Ardgour’s mighty Garbh Bheinn and Morvern’s Creach Bheinn, both Corbetts, picked up the first rays of the sun to good effect.
